1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of this website and any services provided by Elliott & Sons Groundworks (“we”, “us”, “our”), Unit 29, Scott Business Park, Plymouth, PL2 2PB. By using our website or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website or services.

2. About Us

Elliott & Sons Groundworks provides groundworks, digger hire, drainage, jetting, CCTV drain surveys, and drain repair and installation services across Plymouth and the surrounding areas.

3. Use of This Website

This website and its content are provided for general information about our services. You may view and download pages for personal, non-commercial use only. You must not modify, copy, reproduce, or distribute any content — including text, images, and project photographs — without our prior written consent. Copying any content from this site is a breach of these Terms & Conditions.

We make reasonable efforts to keep the information on this website accurate and up to date, but we do not guarantee that it is complete, error-free, or suitable for any particular purpose. We may update or remove content at any time without notice.

4. Quotes and Estimates

Any quote or estimate provided via this website, by phone, or by email is based on the information available to us at the time and is subject to change following a site visit or survey. Quotes are valid for the period stated at the time of issue, or for 30 days if no period is stated, and do not constitute a binding contract until confirmed in writing by both parties.

5. Bookings and Site Work

Once a quote is accepted, work will be scheduled subject to availability, access, weather, and site conditions. We will take reasonable care to complete work to the agreed specification and timescale, but timescales are estimates and may be affected by factors outside our control, including ground conditions, third-party utilities, and weather.

The customer is responsible for ensuring safe and reasonable access to the site, for obtaining any necessary permissions (including permits, planning permission, or landlord consent), and for identifying or disclosing known underground services, drains, or hazards prior to work commencing.

6. Payment

Payment terms will be agreed at the time of quotation. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, invoices are payable within the timeframe stated on the invoice. We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue payments and to suspend further work until outstanding invoices are settled.

7. Cancellations

We ask for reasonable notice if you need to cancel or reschedule confirmed work. Where materials have been ordered, equipment booked, or work has already commenced, a cancellation charge may apply to cover costs reasonably incurred.

8. Liability

We carry appropriate insurance for the work we undertake. While we take all reasonable precautions, we are not liable for damage arising from pre-existing site conditions, undisclosed underground services, or matters outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for any liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, graphics, logos, and images — is owned by us or licensed to us and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Unauthorised use of this content is prohibited.

10. Links to Other Websites

This website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any linked websites, and including a link does not imply endorsement.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in our services or for legal or regulatory reasons. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.

12. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
